Here's a couple of pics from the trip. One is of Cielo and I the next day and the other is a picture of what the campground looked like. I would definitely go back again.

Last weekend we went camping up in the mountains between Temecula and Palm Desert/Palm Springs. It was beautiful up there. The things that stuck out for Cielo and I the most was the stars in the sky and the smell of the mountains. When you live in the 'burbs, you really don't get the sensations of nature that you would like. Going camping reminded me alot about growing up and going camping. This was also Cielo's very first camping trip! It turned out to be kind of a bad experience because we were not really prepared for camping in the mountains. The crazy thing is it gets really friggin' cold in the mountains at night. We only had one blanket and froze our butts off for the entire night. The best part was being close for the whole night (even though it became a survival instinct after a couple of hours). We toughed it out and woke up the next morning with really sore throats and being tired from all of the shivering that we did. All in all, it was a great time and we look forward to the next trip!!!

Carl's 8th Birthday Party.
Today was Carl's birthday party. His actual birthday was on Thursday. The kids had tons of fun playing with water balloons, squirt guns, and assorted other ways to get wet! Fun was had by everyone and here are a few pictures of the action..... Enjoy!!!

Here is a picture of the kids going at it with the water balloons.
Brian gets hit with a water balloon from his brother Mike who is standing in the house. Don't be afraid of the water Mike!!
I like to call this one "Kevin's Michael Jackson Impersonation" but really he is just trying out some new dance moves. Keep practicing, Kevin!!

Our Kids

Since I am updating this blog, I thought I would put some pictures of Cielo and I's kids.
Above is Mr. Geppetto. He doesn't really care that the dogs run around and we've had him for about 8 years. He is the best cat I've ever had. He's really laid back (I guess that's what happens when you go in for the snip-snip!)

This is Pickles. Cielo named her after a Spongebob episode called "No Pickles". Don't ask me, Cielo named her. We've got her trained to ring the bells on the back door when she has to go. She's pretty smart for a dog. We raise 'em right around these parts!

This is Stevie. We named her that because of the Stevie Nicks concert we went to a few days after we got her. She's a good dog who is still learning the meaning of "No pooping or peeing in the house!" Contrary to the picture, she likes to hop around the back yard ala Pepe Le Pew (the skunk). She's our troublemaker.

This is Roxy. We got her from a friend of ours. She's pretty small. I think she is what they call a teacup chihuahua. When we got her she was very skinny. Since we've had her, she hasn't bulked up but at least her coat is coming back in nicely. She still freaks out if you're putting her down while standing up. She puts her front legs out like she is Superdog. I'll get a picture of it and post that too.
I'll get pictures of Cielo and I up here too, so be patient everyone!!

Introduction
Well, this is my first post to my blog. I've tried to hold out as long as I could but I thought this would be a neat way to update family and friends. Trying to update MySpace is giving me a headache so I thought, "Let me just put up a blog that way nobody has to sign up to read it". I will more than likely send the link for this to all of my friends on MySpace and if they want to start reading my blog, bookmark it, or spit on the screen because I'm typing it (just kidding!).
I will mostly be doing this for the technically challenged friends and family that I hold dear and appreciate (You know who you are!).
So, until the next post, I greet all of you and hope to see your own blogs or hope that you get enjoyment out of reading mine.
